About Our Rentals
Westmoreland Sanctuary is looking forward to hosting your upcoming event. Our beautiful, scenic spaces can fit a variety of needs. You may visit any time during our hours to view your desired space.

The Environmental Education Center will be closed for Construction from June 30th to September 25th.

When renting buildings there is a $150.00 fee per hour per employee if Westmoreland employees help with clean up, set up or other services such as operating the building projector. This fee is to be paid with the deposit.
Instructions for Reserving a Rental Space
Pricing & Payment
Rentals Monday – Thursday
9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Day Event) Total Rental Price: $550.00
5:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Evening Event) Total Rental Price: $650.00
Deposit: $100.00
Day Event Balance: $450.00
Evening Event Balance: $550.00
Damage/Acceptable Use Fee: $100.00
Deposit included in the total cost
- The Deposit is non-refundable and is due with the signed contract to secure the date. Deposit will not be returned in the event of cancellation prior to two weeks before the event.
- The Balance for the event is due two weeks prior to the event. This includes a fee for the cleaning of the facility. All cleanup is the responsibility of the renter. In the event of cancellation within two weeks of the event, only 50% of the full balance will be returned.
- A separate Damage/Acceptable Use Fee is due two weeks prior to event. This fee will be returned after inspection of the facility following rental date. Please refer to contract and instructions for items that will be cause for not returning the Damage/Acceptable Use Fee.
- Proof of $1,000,000 insurance coverage must be provided.
- A deposit, signed contract, and insurance documentation are required to secure the reservation.
- The space must be cleaned and returned to its original condition; otherwise, the deposit will be withheld.
Nature Center
The Westmoreland Sanctuary Nature Center is a 200-year-old reconstructed church. It has two floors. The second floor is a wraparound indoor balcony.
Site Rental Description
- Space in both the Environmental Education Center and the Nature Museum
- 50 folding chairs (movable between buildings)
- 3 seven-foot metal tables (movable between buildings)
- 10 folding tables (movable between buildings)
- Outdoor seating areas, picnic tables, and benches
- Renters are responsible for setup and cleanup
- Staff support is available at $150.00 per hour, per employee
- Use of the audiovisual system in the Environmental Education Center requires a staff operator at the same hourly rate
- Garbage bags will be supplied by renters
- Renters are responsible for ensuring that recyclables, compost, and garbage are handled appropriately. Garbage must be bagged and placed in the cans provided. All waste should be placed inside the building before leaving the site.
Please be aware of the following:
- We do not provide food or decorations.
- The maximum number of people allowed is 150.
- All children under 18 must be supervised by an adult.
- All rentals are for four hours. This includes one hour of setup.
- All outdoor rentals require a rain date to be mutually agreed upon.

The Westmoreland Sanctuary has multiple scenic outdoor areas available for rent. These include the Terrace Garden, which is wheelchair accessible and features a small pond, the Outdoor Theater, which has benched seating, and the Picnic Area, which is also wheelchair accessible.

Refund Policy:
Westmoreland Sanctuary provides refunds only if the Sanctuary cancels a program or event for any reason. Refunds are not issued for personal reasons related to individuals, families, or groups. If a participant is unable to attend, payment may be reallocated as a donation or applied to another program.
